Nashville's Finest

Nashville Star Tour

The latest schlep to win American Idol may have the downhome looks and soulful voice (and the last name) to have won the Southern vote. But the second Taylor Hicks took his prize-winning pipes to the studio (for the single "Do I Make You Proud"), he proved to be just another Clay Aiken. Big surprise. Well, you can bet your snakeskin boots that Chris Young, winner of USA's Nashville Star, won't be switching sides any time soon. Nor will the show's runners-up — Casey Rivers, Nicole Jamrose, and Matt Mason. The four country crooners are headlining the Nashville Star Tour, showcasing their vocal talents in a vote-free environment. Even if Young's contract with RCA doesn't pan out to anything, he's still got his other prize — a new Chevy truck.

The Nashville Star Tour rolls into town Sunday, July 16, at Hard Rock Live, 5747 Seminole Way, Hollywood. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $20 to $45. Call 954-523-3309, or visit
