ofmontreal.jpg

Time to have bizarre celebrations, because Athens, Georgia, band Of Montreal is returning to South Florida December 6. The psychedelic indie rock outfit will be gracing the stage at Revolution (200 W Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale) as part of thier tour in support of their ninth album Skeletal Lamping, which will be release October 8. Last time they were in the area was in March 2007 when they played to a packed housed at the now-defunct Studio A in downtown Miami.

The Outback jingle writers will be sharing the stage with an equally quirky band, Brooklyn's the Fiery Furnaces.

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster. And after the jump, Of Montreal's latest single "Id Engager."
