Momentary self-righteous soapbox moment: I didn’t hesitate to purchase a ticket for the Oil.Spill.Benefit show at Propaganda Wednesday, June 30 — nor should you. Not only is a $10 to $15 ticket range completely reasonable to witness the live grandeur of Surfer Blood, the Dewars, the Jameses and Chill Pillars all in one night, but this is money that’s going to the Florida chapter of the National Wildlife Foundation.
Money’s always tight these days, but these bands are doing something special here by donating their time and resources. Buy a ticket to help heal the fragile oceanic ecosystem currently getting more and more mucked up by British Petroleum — and witness a bangin’ rock show, before the place fills up.
