Pink Floyd Experience Coming to Parker Playhouse

The Pink Floyd Experience is exactly what the name implies. For well over a decade, these musically gifted superfans have performed dead-on renditions of popular and rare material spanning the Floyd's entire catalog with a stage setup that puts planetarium laser shows to shame.

For the 2011 tour, the Experience will play Pink Floyd's classic 1977 concept album Animals in its entirety. An album likening members of society to corresponding animals — the powerful pigs, the heartless dogs, and the mindless sheep — is as relevant now as it was when it was released in 1977. It's a good record to hear and reflect upon — especially if you can let the work's presentation completely overwhelm your senses.
