We'll see how long this one lasts. News out of Jamaica and London is that reggae super stars Beenie Man, Sizzla Kalonji, and Capleton--three artists with a history of writing inflammatory lyrics against gays--have signed a anti-homophobia pact in regard to their music. They're vowing to renounce homophobia (yeah right) and stop including anti gay lyrics (which is more believable) in their material. It seems that the three-year-long Stop Murder Music campaign, which has hounded reggae singers over their lyrics and fought to cancel hundreds of show, is finally seeing some real progress.
