Like homies and Visionquest partners Seth Troxler and Lee Curtiss, DJ/producer Ryan Crosson is part of a new breed of Detroit-bred artists who have staked their place in Berlin's underground EDM scene since the late 2000s. Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Crosson absorbed the native sounds of second-wave Detroit techno artists like Plastikman and Matthew Dear, and began crafting his own brand of bass-driven and soulful minimalist tech-house in 2003. After signing on the Cologne-based Trapez imprint, Crosson joined the expatriate EDM community in Berlin, from where he has continued to garner international praise following releases on the esteemed Wolf + Lamb, Wagon Repair, Spectral and M_nus labels. Ryan Crosson will be taking over the Space Techno Loft on Saturday night for a performance that should provide for a groovy pre-taste of the WMC madness to come.

Ryan Crosson at Space. Saturday, March 13. Doors open at 11 p.m. 34 NE 11 St., downtown Miami.
