Pull out the neon leggings, an elbow length's worth of bangles, and load on some hairspray for that '80s permed look this John Hughes-inspired Pretty in Pink '80s dance party requires you look the part. Nostalgia will be in full effect while you watch clips from the legendary flick and swaying to South Florida's only Smiths and Morrissey tribute band, Ordinary Boys. DJs LinderSMASH and Kaos will also present tunes of the Brat Pack era. Molly Ringwald lookalikes are most definitely welcome at this party, and will be especially popular at the slow dance couples competition.

We always love a good cause, but especially when it involves a throwback fashionista event. Sea-ing Vintage, besides being a punny title, is ArtHouse 429's first fashion show and an Orca Network fundraiser for Lolita, Miami Seaquarium's famous killer whale. Amidst all the good vibes is artist and fashion designer Amanda Valdes's new swimsuit collection and "sick vintage rides" from Infamous Kustoms Inc., an automotive shop. Take home some art as a bonus and add some culture to your life or just living room.

Couldn't afford tickets to see the Offspring and Bad Religion? No worries. We got the $10 hookup for ya. The hidden mecca, Anonymous Guitars, will feature what they're calling "acoustic-ish punk" and indie rock this Friday night. Local musicians supplying the unplugged tunes include Chris Farren of Fake Problems, Raffaele Famularo of They Cage the Animals, Brodyn, 11:59, and more. Just no moshing at this one. You don't want to be "that guy" who impales himself on a drum stick.

As if the '80s event wasn't enough of a reason to dig deep into your mother's closet for items, there's another costumed event on this list. This time, though, it's more Gothic and less neon. Three bands that will be rockin like it's the late 1800s include Hipnosis, the Black Bats, and Queen Dementia. Artists Kelcie McQuaid, Laura Monique Saver, and Alexis Menendez will have Queen Victoria approved artwork as well.
