Colombia is a country known for solid exports. And we're not talking nose candy here. Nor are we talking super hottie hip shaker Shakira. At least not in that capacity. Colombia consistently exports quality music. The aforementioned chanteuse among them. Carlos Vives is another who comes to mind. From Joe Arroyo to Aterciopelados, Jorge Celedon and Jimmy Zambrano to Juanes, Colombia offers fans of Latin music a steady stream of tunage, whatever the consumer's taste.

But undeniably, the rock scene in Colombia is a strong one, despite reports that it lacks airplay there. Don Tetto, Los De Adentro and La Pesilencia are prime examples. Yet another, Sin Animo de Lucro, comprised of four young guys--Juan José, Camilo, Santiago and Nicolás--who formed with only the noble goal of playing classmates' parties. Little did they know when they set out that their debut record Master en Parranda would yield a Latin Grammy nomination for the fledgling alt band.

You can take advantage of a rare opportunity and catch them for yourself tonight at La Covacha. Bachaco and ArenAzul will be joining them. Tix are $25.
