Steve Martin is a multi-talented legend, in a way that shames even Justin Timberlake. The comic icon has proven himself as a king of the funnies and master of the banjo. His music prowess is so that when talking to friends about his performance at Kravis Center on May 24, the main question is "to be funny or to play music?" Followed of course by "How much are tickets?"

I've heard stories of the beloved Woody Allen coming to Kravis and breaking hearts by playing his much adored clarinet the entire show without even stopping to complain about something or tell a silly story. Lucky for Steve Martin fans (a.k.a. everyone), his performance will not fall into this lame-ass category.

The 67-year old first-time dad (believe it) will be accompanied by his band the Steep Canyon Rangers and Edie Brickell as they present a night of bluegrass music with a comedic twang. Before we dive into a banjo headbang, let's take a moment to look at the man himself. Here are our five best Steve Martin musical moments.

5. Billie Jean

We're not sure why this clip exists, but, damn, we're glad that it does. Feast your eyes on '80s Steve Martin reenacting Michael Jackson's famous dance moves in his version of Billie Jean.

4. Bluegrass Diva

So it turns out Martin isn't the greatest banjo player of all time. In this Funny or Die exclusive clip, Martin and other bluegrass fans like Ed Helms take jabs at mega-talented banjo superstar Noam Pikelny in a way that is sure to make you laugh.

3. The Jerk Gets Romantic

This beautiful and charming beach duet from The Jerk is one of the wacky film's most famous and endearing scenes. Watch as the trumpet solo brings it home.

2. King Tut

Before we knew he could rock the banjo, we knew Steve Martin could do a mean King Tut. This classic SNL clip is still one of his most famous musical numbers. Mayhaps we shall see its with bluegrass treatment live?

1. Feed Me Seymour

Little Shop of Horrors is a musical starring Rick Moranis about a flesh-eating plant. An easy recipe for greatness. Throw in Martin as a maniacal dentist, and you have yourself a true, enduring classic. This musical number perfectly personifies Martin; it's funny and catchy, so much so that it's cruel.

Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell live, 8 p.m., Friday, May 24, at the Kravis Center, 701 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach. Tckets start at $35. Visit kravis.org.
