The best Thanksgiving memories are the ones in which you're surrounded by family. But what's glittering for your memory bank can be hell on your IRL stress levels.

Way down the line, you can accentuate the positive, but at 6:52 p.m. Thursday, you'll have to use all your will power not to scream at Aunt Sylvia when she asks you for the seventeen thousandth time when you're going to settle down.

To assist with your mental health and desire to booze, we here at New Times decided to locate ten bars and clubs whose doors will be open for you to kick back and cut loose this Thursday.

Original Fat Cat's

320 SW Second St., Fort Lauderdale. Visit facebook.com/originalfatcats.

The downtown Fort Lauderdale staple will be opening up shop at 10 p.m. An hour later, you will be serenaded by Jeff Durham, whose music encompasses "old-school rock, new-school rock, and a little bit of country." Perfect for digesting that bird and potatoes.

Red's Bar and Package

2610 N. Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors. Call 954-564-0233.

Not only will Red's have its regular hours on Thanksgiving, open from 7 a.m. on, starting at 2 p.m. until it runs out, it will have a special $5-a-plate Thanksgiving dinner that includes turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and all the fixings.

Respectable Street

518 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. Visit sub-culture.org.

If you can still fit into your flannels or Cross Colours after Thanksgiving dinner, head over to Respectable Street, which will be hosting Yo! Flaunt Jams: A '90s Thanksgiving, during which you can dance to Coolio and Right Said Fred while pounding $2 PBRs and $3 shots.

Kim's Alley Bar

1920 E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Visit facebook.com/kimsalley.bar.

Broward County's second oldest bar will be open Thanksgiving at regular hours from noon to 3 a.m. with happy hour specials until 7 and free darts, Ping-Pong, and pool until 8.

Propaganda Lake Worth

6 S. J St., Lake Worth. Visit propagandalw.com.

If you prefer jam to cranberry sauce, Propaganda might be your spot Thursday night featuring a set by Palm Beach jam band the Funky Nuggets. There's a $5 cover charge ($10 for those under 21 but older than 18). But women drink free cocktails all night, and both sexes can enjoy $3 Red Stripes until midnight.

America's Backyard

100 SW Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Visit myamericasbackyard.com.

America's Backyard is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve party that begins Wednesday at 5 p.m., but since the event promises to last four hours into Thursday, we figured it qualified for this list. There will be Wild Turkey American Honey giveaways, two-for-one drinks, and 99 cent Bud Lights from 5 to 8 p.m.

Revolution Live

100 SW Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Visit jointherevolution.net.

If you're looking to be thankful for hip-hop, Young Thug, the Atlanta rapper best-known for "Stoner" and his guest spots with T.I., will be headlining a Turkey Day set at Revolution Live with openers Tip Drill, Lubaby, J-Dub, and Ball Greezy.

The Downtowner Saloon

10 S. New River Dr. E., Fort Lauderdale. Visit downtownersaloon.com.

The football games on the big screens will be the main entertainment at the Downtowner, but you can also expect a solo classical guitar set by local musician Bernie to go down with the full turkey dinners it will be serving from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for $16.

Bimini Bay Bar

412 SE 32nd St., Fort Lauderdale. Visit Facebook.

If you're feeling in a communal mood, this is the spot for you. From 1 p.m. until 2 a.m., there will be a free potluck dinner to enjoy with your drinks. You are encouraged to get in the Thanksgiving spirit and bring your own delicious dish to share. So don't be like Uncle Mortie, who brought only his body odor to your family Thanksgiving.

Hard Rock

1 Seminole Way, Hollywood. Visit hardrocklivehollywoodfl.com.

If you're feeling lucky, the casino will be in full functioning form with the poker room, slots, and card tables all in effect. Make sure to pocket away $21.95 (plus a generous holiday tip) if you wish to partake in the blue-plate special Thanksgiving menu, served from 3 to 10 p.m.
