Arcade culture invaded Green Room on Friday night. The downtown haunt teamed up with Play N Trade to host Black Friday Arcade, a night of overindulgent nerd culture set to electro dance beats. Gamers, cosplayers, and fetish fans came dressed to the nines. The scene was filled with bobbling Super Mario Bros., mysterious Call of Duty robbers slinking around the bar, and a fierce red ninja dude gyrating for all the drunken damsels to see.

Hot-to-trot go-go dancers in Tron body suits adorned with LED lights, amused as the DJs revved up the crowd. Over on the stage, gamers fiddled relentlessly with console controllers to compete for top-dawg points during the night’s series of video game tournaments.
Outside the club, the wind stirred up the palm fronds, but no wind or rain pour could scare off these superhero junkies. With this crew of fans of flare about, spotting interesting costumes was all too easy. Look for our selection of the best costumes of the night after the jump.
1. The Sexy: Candy Raver Carmelita Fox and FriendRole playing is part of the thrill at costume parties. This blue-haired lovely put a twist on Carmelita Fox, a ’90s candy raver twist! Is her friend a game controller?
2. The Classic: MarioWhen this guy, or woman, showed up at the club and took to the dance floor, all heads turned to gaze. Mario took a few breaks to pose for photos. The Italian plumber, possibly the most famous video game character ever gets a huge two thumbs up. Sup, bro.
3. Link of the Legend of ZeldaWho doesn’t want to party with this guy? He’s cute, savvy, and knows how to solve a puzzle.
4. Spy from Team Fortress 2This guy looks effortlessly hip, suited up with a skinny tie, not to mention his bad-boy mask. We’re not sure if he’s passing us a smoke or yelling obscenities over the music, but he scores big on our list.
5. Tron GearLED lights. Check. Tall smiley dude, check. This lit-up duo, stunned up with some serious dance moves while living out the Tron legacy for the night. Gear from this classic film was worn all over the club, but these two were on top.
6. Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtleSomeone toss this guy a pizza. He needs some turtle power before returning to the sewer underworld. But before he goes home to filthy water and a wise rat, he’s got criminals and drunks to fight. Really, though, who doesn’t love a green superhero in a half shell?
7. PhoenixThis fierce lady, uh man, in red seduced the skivvies off of us. Work that human pole!

9. Ms. Pac-Man and American McGee’s AliceNerd girls on parade! These too-cute-for-school ladies broke the gamers’ mold with their come hither style. Who wants to join Alice for a trip down the rabbit hole?
10. Feeling FetishisticMatters did get rather raunchy Saturday night, so it’s good this girl came prepared. Unlike those peeps standing behind her.
