Tonight! Silversun Pickups Make Triumphant Return to South Florida

In addition to finding out that Silversun Pickups frontman Brian Aubert just wed a fellow musician, Twilight Sleep frontwoman Tracy Marcellion, in Italy, Alex Rendon's fine feature about the Los Angeles alt-rockers, reveals that the band has moved up in the world since its last visit to South Florida. Only three years ago, the Pickups rolled into town in two midsized cars for their performance at what is now Cruzan Amphitheatre.

This time around, the band is supporting the swoon-worthy Swoon, and has the strength of aggro rockers Against Me! and the fresh indie creators the Henry Clay People (our interview is here) providing support. Local picks Lavola open up the show on a side stage, so don't be late!

Silversun Pickups, with Against Me!, the Henry Clay People and Lavola. 6:30

p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at Sunset Cove Amphitheater, 12551 Glades

Road, Boca Raton. Tickets cost $28. Click here.
