South Florida musicians and music fans alike can take pride in the turnout and command performances throughout Wednesday night’s Oil.Spill.Benefit at Propaganda in Lake Worth. More than a few folks remarked that the energy in the packed room was a bit lighter than usual — perhaps because the show was 18-plus, and that youthful energy spreads faster than, er, an underwater pipeline gushing out of control. Kudos to the evening’s four local acts Surfer Blood, the James, the Dewars, and Cop City/Chill Pillars for donating their time, and congratulations to everyone who decided to wear a righteous T-shirt. County Grind will see to it that your fashion sense will not go unheralded.
After the jump, see a variety of statements made by a piece of cotton with short sleeves from Ian Witlen’s eye-pleasing slideshow of last night’s concert.
