Well, the first half of that statement is a definite. Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo announced via Twitter on Wednesday that the days with Geffen are over, and they’re moving to the biggest indie punk label around, Epitaph. (Hey, if it worked for the Offspring…) Due September 14, Hurley is the first product of this new relationship, and perhaps if this isn’t the edgiest Weezer record in 13 years or so, at least they can bring Previously on Lost on the road with them.
