Case. Case... hmmm, is that the rapper who kicked it with Diddy for a while, quit the music biz to become a preacher, and then returned to the game a couple of years ago? No, wait, that was Mase. Case... oh, now I remember. Kind of. He was that supersmooth R&B guy who sang backup for Usher like ten years ago, the one who sort of sounded like Al B. Sure, and then he had songs on all those soundtracks — The Nutty Professor, The Best Man, Rush Hour. He had that song "Missing You" too, but I can't remember how it goes. Oh, and he dated Mary J. Blige for a while. That's pretty cool, I guess. And then he fell off the face of the Earth. Apparently he's back now, though. Hell, comebacks are great — the rock dudes have been doing it for years; why not Case? Best of luck, man, we've been, uh, missing you.

Case performs with DJ Lazy K on Friday, December 22, at Revolution, 200 W. Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Doors open at 10 p.m. Tickets cost $25. Call 954-727-0950, or visit www.jointherevolution.net.
