White Room Goes Canuck with Arcade, Kicks Things Off with Bassnectar and Drop The Lime

Far up north, Toronto's Mod Club hosts a Friday night party called Arcade. Produced by Embrace, a local production company, it books some of the most amazing dance music acts all year long. But it seems the company wants to making itself known in Miami -- perhaps just in time for those Arctic winters.

Embrace is no stranger to Miami. Every year, it produces some of the best events during Winter Music Conference including Fixed WMC, Downtown Riot and more, as well as some local events outside of Conference. (Full disclosure: When I was part of Miami Nights, I aided Embrace with promotion and marketing of its events in Miami.)

The void left on Saturdays at White Room by Poplife will now be taken over by Embrace's Arcade party. Also lending a hand is Overthrow, who is responsible for Dirty Hairy at LIV and Misfit Fridays at Louis.

And you better believe Embrace is flexing its booking muscles with San Francisco's Bassnectar and Brooklyn's Drop The Lime scheduled for October 17 and 24 respectively. Also in the pipeline is British dubstep/electro madman Rusko on December 19. Tickets and show information is available through embracepresents.com.

And with things looking up for White Room, the venue itself will go through a drastic transformation that we're told will allow to accommodate live music acts looking for a mid-size venue. We're definitely excited to see what this means for the city.
