After Nine Years, Astro's Back!

When the Geary family adopted Astro, their German shepherd, they lived in Palm City, Florida. A month later, Astro ran away.

That was nine years ago.

Then this year, the Gearys, who live in Kentucky now, got an interesting call from an animal control officer in Tennessee. Astro had been found. He is now reunited with the Geary family.

Dogs can do amazing things, as we know from such documentaries as Air Bud, Homeward Bound, Benji, Old Yeller, Turner and Hooch, K9, Air Bud II: Golden Receiver, and the 1991 masterpiece, Bingo, in which a stray circus dog saves his family from bad guys hellbent on destroying the father's NFL kicking career.

Let the tears roll.
