Arrest in Theft of Haitian Charity Funds

Of all the things to steal and of all the times to steal it, Gerrell Hall made some poor choices. The 22-year-old has been arrested by Boynton Beach Police for having stolen a container full of cash designated for Haiti relief.

Police relied on surveillance video in identifying Hall as the man who on January 28 took a jar containing about $45 from a Shell gas station on North Federal Highway, He was arrested this morning at a Motel 6 in Lantana. According to the Boynton police statement, Hall expressed remorse.

Just not enough remorse, it seems, to have given the money back in the week since he's alleged to have swiped it.
