Barbecue in Pompano the Site of Fatal Stabbing

When a Broward Sheriff's Office deputy saw a couple of dozen people running in different directions on NW Tenth Street on Saturday night in Pompano Beach, it was a clue that something pretty awful had happened. The deputy learned that they were scrambling away from the scene of a barbecue where Guytea Jean Francois of Pompano had been stabbed to death.

A 32-year-old man, Sonny Hilaire of Pompano Beach, has been arrested and charged with Francois' death. The BSO release, which you can read here, doesn't offer any clues about what Francois and Hilaire were arguing about, nor does it say exactly what the murder weapon was.
