The man, Charles Bostwick, is said to have fired a gun at his ex-girlfriend, who was not struck. But the gunshot brought Boynton Beach police to a home on the 1600 block of N. Seacrest Blvd. According to the police report, Bostwick fired a shot at police, who then set up a perimeter.
Cornered in a backyard at 112 NE 16th Ave., police say Bostwick shot himself.
