BSO News Release Calls Suspect in Botched Robbery a "Tool" (VIDEO)

A suspect wearing black pants and a white shirt tried to swipe two impact drills from a West Park Home Depot last month but ended up staging one of the clumsiest almost-robberies we've seen on tape.

The security footage shows the man grabbing the drills and actually taking them to a register, but then, after doing some kind of weird wiggle-jiggle dance in the checkout line, he just grabs the drills and tries to run away. He made it out of the parking lot, but he dropped the two drills on the way -- resulting in an announcement from the Broward Sheriff's Office proclaiming "Tool Drops Tools in Robbery Attempt."

Almost as funny as the news release that said police were looking for a man who was "wanted for trying to kill a guy."

There's a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest -- if you know anything, call BSO Det. Phillip Love at 954-964-0271 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
