Charity Planting Peace Will Assist Haiti Earthquake Relief With Help From Rainn Wilson

Initial reports about the earthquake in Haiti are terrifying. Good-hearted individuals around the globe will be looking for a way to help. We already know one local charity, Planting Peace, which works primarily with orphanages in Haiti, will be working to get people shelter, food, and water.

The best way people can help the non-profit, Planting Peace's founder Aaron Jackson says, is with monetary donations. Actor Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute from The Office), a good friend of Jackson's, announced on his Twitter account that he'll give away autographed photos to anyone who donates more than $100 to Planting Peace right now.

I got a message from Aaron Jackson minutes ago saying he still hasn't heard from the Planting Peace orphanages in Haiti, and he has no word on the condition of the children. He said a friend's orphanage completely collapse under the power of the earthquake.

Jackson is already organizing a relief campaign, he says.
