When a ménage à trois ends with guns being fired into the ceiling, the SWAT team being called in, someone yelling, "Bitch, I'll fucking kill you!" and someone getting Tasered, you'd have to assume that things went badly.

Or maybe it went amazing.

It's all about point of view, really.

According to Pasco sheriff deputies, David Rice, 29, and his wife, Mindi, also 29, spent last Wednesday night at their Dade City home injecting prescription drugs and having sex with a 24-year-old woman.

The three fell asleep. Later that evening, Mindi woke up to find David trying to have sex again with their new friend. Apparently miffed that she wasn't invited to the second round, Mindi grabbed a loaded gun and began threatening the woman. Mindi then fired the gun into the ceiling.

An overreaction? Maybe. But keep in mind that drugs, guns, and jealousy might not mix very well. We're no scientist, but that's our theory.

David gave Mindi the ol' "I was just trying to grab the covers to cover myself" line.

A likely story, right, ladies?

Then, according to the police report, David was able to snatch the gun from Mindi's hand and grabbed her by the throat with one hand while holding the handgun to her face, Ray Liotta in Goodfellas style.

That's when he yelled, "Bitch, I'll fucking kill you!" before firing a warning shot into the wall. Because pointing a gun at someone's face and yelling that you'll fucking kill them might not get the message across clearly enough.

During the brouhaha, the unidentified 24-year-old woman managed to sneak away and call the cops. When police arrived, the happy couple refused to leave the house.

That's when the SWAT team was called in.

The standoff lasted two hours until the couple eventually came out of their home.

But David wouldn't go quietly. He fought with deputies, who had to eventually shoot him with a Taser. He then somehow managed to run back inside the house but was eventually persuaded by negotiators to give up.

The couple was charged with aggravated assault.

David Rice was also charged with obstructing officers and held without bail. According to court records, he was supposed to be in court September 4 to face charges of burglary, grand theft, and possession of oxycodone.

Mindi Rice, held in lieu of $5,000 bail, also has priors. She was sentenced in June to two years of felony probation for credit card fraud for allegedly stealing a credit card in 2011 so she could bail David out of jail.

This was the most delightful romcom story you've read in a long time, isn't it?
