Las Vegas-based Boyd Gaming Corp. announced today that it is selling the assets of Dania Jai-Alai for $80 million cash. The buyer is said to be a group of private investors organized as Dania Entertainment Center LLC (that entity is not registered in the online database of Florida’s Division of Corporations).

The sale is expected to

be final September 26. It’s unclear whether the purchase price includes
the land and building — according to the Broward County Property
Appraiser, that is owned by the Aragon Group and was last valued at
$27,392,650.

Calls to the seller and to the general manager of Dania Jai-Alai were not immediately returned. We will update if/when we have more information.
