Everybody in Broward's political and journalistic circles has heard the rumor that Sheriff Ken Jenne is going down as a result of a recent federal grand jury investigation into his finances. I've heard from two sources that Gov. Charlie Crist has compiled a short list of who might replace him. It's all speculation right now, but a tiny news brief in the Sun-Sentinel seems to bolster the idea that a dramatic change is coming at BSO.
On page 6B comes the two-column-length headline: "Jenne chief of staff quits to move north."
