Scheduled guests include linebacker turned restaurateur, Kim
Bokamper; legendary wide receiver
Nat Moore (remember the "
helicopter catch"?); another linebacker turned restaurateur, John
Offerdahl (you can ask him why so many of his restaurants have gone the way of
D. Wade's); and of course the lovely
Dolphins cheerleaders (you can stare, but they're not coming out).
In addition to selling "merch" and promoting local athlete-owned dining establishments, the event will feature live music from Jimmy Stowe and the Stowaways. In theory, there will also be mention made of the upcoming Dolphins home opener, against Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night. (Presumably little to no mention will be made of last week's loss to the Falcons.)
Festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m., so the kiddies won't have to skip school (or their regular trip to the parking lot).
