Donald Trump had himself a YUUUGE Twitter meltdown following Thursday night's GOP presidential debate.
As we boldly predicted in our Florida GOP Debate Drinking Game, Trump went on to declare himself the winner of the debate and retweeted his horde of supporters who concurred with this opinion. But as it turns out, reality was something different. And while who actually "wins" a presidential debate is really subjective and a matter of conjecture, Trump did get put on blast by Fox News pundit and debate moderator Megyn Kelly during the debate, and this did not go over well with the Donald.
To kick things off, Kelly challenged Trump on his past offensive comments toward women.
"You've called women you don't like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals," Kelly said to Trump.
Trump interrupted her by saying, "Only Rosie O'Donnell," which got a big applause from the crowd.
"No, it wasn't," Kelly pushed back. "For the record, it was well beyond Rosie O'Donnell. Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women's looks. You once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?"
Trump's response focused on how people worry too much about political correctness and how if Kelly didn't like it, he was "sorry."
The exchange set the tone for the night for Trump, and he never really seemed to recover. Whenever he was asked a question, he derailed from the topic and would simply repeat that America doesn't win anymore. He also failed to land any real zingers or memorable moments to put him over the top.
Afterward, Frank Luntz hosted a panel of Fox News viewers who gave Trump disapproving grades for his performance.
That's when Trump took to Twitter to do what he does best: insult people who challenge him and retweet his rabid followers.
Trump said Kelly "bombed" at the debate and retweeted a follower who called her a "bimbo."
Trump also called Luntz "a slob" and his panel a "joke."
According to the Twitter time stamp, the rant began just before 3:30 in the morning and went on and on, once again showing the world that Donald Trump tweets like a 14-year-old girl.
