Dwyane Wade got on one knee and popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, actress Gabrielle Union, over the weekend.

The event went down as a Heat Christmas party Saturday night. As it is with everything these days, the news was revealed through social media, as the two took to Twitter and Instagram to announce their engagement.

Wade, 33, and Union, 41, have both been married before. The two have been dating since 2009.

After he proposed and she accepted, Wade took to Instagram to reveal the big news, showing off the 8.5-carat diamond engagement ring.

"She said YES!!!" he wrote.

"Sooooo this happened ...#Yessss," Union tweeted out.

Others, like Chris Bosh and his wife, Adrienne, also chimed in on Twitter.
