A 21-year-old man beat an elderly man to death Friday after a dispute over who was entitled to use a fuel pump at a BP station in Lauderdale Lakes.

According to the news release by the Broward Sheriff's Office, the younger man, Ryan Wilson of Lauderhill, was trying to back into a space near a fuel pump, when Jonathas Carrasco, 67, pulled into that same space.

Carasco of Lauderdale Lakes, filled up at the pump, then paid for his gas inside the store. As he left, he reportedly stepped on the foot of Wilson's girlfriend. That prompted Wilson to attack Carasco, who suffered a fractured skull and died the following day.

Wilson has been charged with aggravated manslaughter. Release is here.
