The International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association is glad for the bloodless coup (term limits) that brought about the end of the reign of Mayor Jim Naugle, a foe to the gays.

Also, it must be glad for the election of former Wilton Manors mayor and friend to the gays, Jack Seiler. As reward, the association will come here and spend crazy money for its 2011 convention.

The bureau said its presentation to IGLTA leaders was themed "Lauderdale Unleashed," signifying the city's emergence as a global gay and lesbian destination.
