A high-speed chase on I-95 in Boca has ended with four men in custody. The pursuit, which reached speeds of up to 100 mph, began early Tuesday morning when the suspects attempted to rob the bridge tender on Spanish River Boulevard at gun-point. After the man called 911, Boca Raton Police spotted the suspects and gave chase. According to a Boca Raton Police news release, PBSO deputies helped nab the suspects.

The suspects led Boca Raton Police on a chase that stretched from Boca to West Palm Beach. Palm Beach Sheriff's Office deputies, as well as officers from the West Palm Beach Police department also joined in on the chase. According to WPTV, the men abandoned the dark green Buick they were riding in, and attempted to flee on foot at a round 6:25 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Boca Raton Police say the suspects had been wanted for over a dozen car burglaries in the area, and tried to rob the bridge tender, who is 80, with a rifle. The victim had no money, and so the men took off.
During the chase, the suspects got off on Okeechobee Blvd. and then traveled west, hitting up several side streets before pulling over and running away. Police closed off Windsor Avenue in West Palm Beach as they cornered the suspects.

Police and K-9 units gave chase, and eventually found and arrested the three men after searching for about thirty minutes. Police also found the suspect's rifle in the car.
