A day after Congressman Ron Klein released a poll that found he had an 8-point advantage in his race against challenger Allen West, the West campaign is publicizing its own poll, which declares that West is up by six points, 48-42.
The West poll, by Wilson Research Strategies, had a 5.7 percent margin of error. It was based on telephone calls to 300 likely voters from Monday to Wednesday. That makes it more recent than the Klein poll, which was conducted last week. But Klein's poll factored in 500 likely voters.
But considering both polls contain enough undecided voters to swing the election, it appears both candidates are vying for momentum. After the jump, West sounds a moderate tone in his most recent campaign ad.
