Inmate Who Hanged Himself Identified

Kennith Kellum is the name of the 21-year-old Broward Jail inmate who was found dead from hanging Monday afternoon.

The Broward Sheriff's Office reports that Kellum committed suicide by fashioning a noose from his bed sheets.

Maybe its my imagination, but in Kellum's photo, he has what looks like a neck wound, perhaps from a past attempt at hanging. Maybe he should have been in a mental health facility.

Kellum, from Plantation, had been in jail since Saturday on drug-related warrants. News release on Kellum is here.
