Florida State Seminoles star quarterback Jameis Winston created a stir across campus and the internet on Tuesday when he apparently hopped onto a table and yelled out some obscenities about doing something adult to a woman's private parts.
And now, the FSU football team has come out and announced that Winston has been suspended for the first half of the Seminoles game against the Clemson Tigers this coming Saturday.
"You can't make certain statements that are derogatory or inflammatory to any person, race, or gender," head coach Jimbo Fischer told the media Wednesday afternoon. "You have to understand that. You have to be very intelligent about what you say. It matters."
The unfortunate incident occurred on campus on Tuesday when Winston hopped onto a table and yelled out, "Fuck her right in the pussy!"
According to the internet, yelling that out is a sort of bizarre meme that's gone viral where a person simply shouts those words out for no real rhyme or reason.
The whole sensation began as a terrible hoax and has spread throughout high schools all across America.
And now Winston -- a star QB Heisman Trophy winner and national champion, and a man who has been under a lot of scrutiny over terrible choices he's made and ongoing rape allegations -- went ahead and yelled it out himself.
Several FSU students immediately took to Twitter to document the event, such as this guy:
Jameis Winston just yelled "Fuck her right in the pussy" on campus I shit you not.

On Wednesday, the school laid down the hammer. And by hammer, we mean gave Winston what amounts to barely a slap on the wrist.
So it goes with Winston and FSU.
Athletic director Stan Wilcox and interim President Garrett Stokes released a statement on the incident and suspension:
As the university's most visible ambassadors, student-athletes at Florida State are expected to uphold at all times high standards of integrity and behavior that reflect well upon themselves, their families, coaches, teammates, the Department of Athletics and Florida State University. Student-athletes are expected to act in a way that reflects dignity and respect for others. As a result of his comments yesterday, which were offensive and vulgar, Jameis Winston will undergo internal discipline and will be withheld from competition for the first half of the Clemson game.
The University and athletics department will have no further comment on the matter.
Winston himself issued an apology:
