Whom, specifically, karma is b****slapping, LeBron does not say. Nor does he say what act, exactly, is being punished or what God has seen in this case. (Nor does he seem to see the irony in his own words.)
He could be talking about his former team's refusal to stay in the same hotel earlier this week. But he seems to be implying that by wishing him ill in Miami, Clevelanders have summoned the mighty winds of failure. (The Cavaliers have lost 21 of 22 games since November 30, including 11 straight.)
And it's certainly hard to argue with that, except to say that everything in Cleveland brings about the mighty winds of failure.
UPDATE: LeBron is now backing away from his "Karma" tweet, while at the same time learning the true meaning of Karma. Before last night's game, he told reporters yesterday that the message had originated with someone else and that he was passing it on. (Though the Twitter account does not indicate the message was a retweet.) He also said there was no "intent" to the message, that he feels sorry for the people of Cleveland, that "everybody looks too far into it," and that he's "moved on."
In the fourth quarter of the game, LeBron rolled his ankle and he's listed as "questionable" for the next game, against the Denver Nuggets.
