A rock-wielding burglar broke into five Chinese restaurants in one night, according to police, who suspect him in "at least" 15 other burglaries.
Surveillance footage shows the man using a rock to smash the restaurants' glass doors, then taking all the cash (and coins) out of the registers and, in two cases, walking out with a flat-screen TV too.
The first robbery was shortly before midnight on April 17 at the China Chef Restaurant in North Lauderdale. He then hit the Pho Hoa, New China, and Island Vibes restaurants in Tamarac and the Tokyo Japanese Restaurant in Oakland Park, all before 2 a.m.
If you recognize the guy's sweet windbreaker or have any other information that may help, the Broward Sheriff's Office asks you to call Det. Alexander Briz at 954-720-2231 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. There's a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
