“God Can Judge Me,” says the tattoo on Jovon Gibson’s neck, but it looks like a Broward County judge will get the first crack. The 22-year-old from Miami has been arrested for the murder of Richard Burke, 48, of Wellington, last April.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office release contains few details of what led to Burke’s shooting, except that it took place at SW 40th Avenue and County Line Road in Miami. That’s the home where deputies discovered a second victim, Xaviar Garzon, 21, of West Park, who survived.
Burke was found at 4221 SW 39th St. in West Park. Another suspect, 19-year-old Sequen Day of Miami, was arrested previously and charged in the incident.
