Mining, Corruption Mix in Palm Beach County

Palm Beach County environmentalists have good reason to be concerned about the effect that mining will have on the quality of the region's drinking water. But this video, by the Clean Water Fund, fails to mention that there's a recent history of mining companies collaborating with corrupt politicians. Palm Beach County Commissioners Tony Masilotto and Warren Newell were both busted for their dealings with Palm Beach Aggregates, a mining firm that wanted county approval for water storage projects.

That company's political forays ceased after its diabolical plans were exposed. But now Palm Beach Aggregates is back.
