Apparently, Barry Obama's debate performance was so craptacular, The Mittbot has gained some points with Latino voters in Florida.
According to a ImpreMedia & Latino Decisions tracking poll released Monday, Obama's lead among Hispanic voters in Florida has slipped from 72% last week to 67% this week.
Among those polled, 76% Latinos said debate performance was important in how they evaluated a candidate.
That'll learn ya to just stand there and take notes while your opponent lies at you with a loud voice, Barry!
Also, in the latest Florida International University/Miami Herald/El Nuevo Herald poll, Obama's lead over Romney among Hispanics in Florida is now down to 51 to 44 percent.
However, the same poll says that, nationally, Obama is beating Romney 66 to 31 percent in a survey of 1,000 likely Hispanic voters.
Cuban-Americans -- who are traditionally overwhelmingly Republican -- seem to be making the most noise for Romney in the Sunshine State, while Puerto Rican, Dominican and other Hispanic voters are backing Obama.
When asked if they are better off now than they were four years ago, 54 percent of Florida Hispanics polled said they were not, to 46 percent who said they are.
When asked about the economy, 51 percent trust Obama over Romney in fixing it.
Meanwhile, Public Policy Polling, a Democratic polling firm, says Romney now has a net-gain of five points since the debate, edging the President 49 to 48 percent in Florida. Obama had a 50 to 46 percent lead in this poll prior to the debate.
So, apparently, Tuesday's second debate looms large, because people care more about candidates acting presidential than they do actual policy and substance.
Hot tip for Obama: He may want to arrive to the debate by jumping from outer space. Awesomeness points guaranteed, bro.
