State Rep. Joe Negron has been chosen -- or condemned -- to run for Congress in Foley's place (with the disgraced rep's name on the ballot). I think his photograph at left says it all. And there is this hilarious understatement from former state Republican Party chairman Tom Slade in Brendan Farrington's AP story: "The only way you win is they (voters) have got to vote for Mark Foley. That doesn't appear to me to be very attractive."
Fred Grimm writes about the "ethereal" nature of Mark Foley's downfall and provides an interesting history of D.C. sex scandals along the way.
The NY Times' article on the newspapers that knew, the St. Pete Times and Miami Herald. Apparently there are other newspapers that have yet to come clean, as well (via Jeff Bercovici at Radar).
