NYPD "Cannibal Cop" Vs. Florida Puppeteer Who Wanted to Eat Kids

The Internet exploded with gruesome curiosity last week over news that Gilberto Valle, a New York police officer, was arrested for allegedly plotting to kidnap, cook and eat 100 women.

While not something we're proud to lay claim to, it must be noted that Florida is first when it comes to creeps vividly detailing their plans to kidnap and eat people. As reported on the Pulp this summer, cops arrested Tampa area puppeteer Robert Brown in July on charges of planning to kidnap, rape, murder and eat a child.

Are Valle and Brown really cannibalistic cretins intent on tasting flesh? Or could they be subscribers to a niche fetish built on violent sexual fantasies of devouring people? Let's break down the horrible, nightmare-inducing parallels between the two insatiable men.

Before going further, be warned that things are going to get weird. Stop reading now if you're queasy or perturbed by the notion of an old man cooking and eating a little boy's butt cheeks.

Chat Logs:

The cases against Valle and Brown are built on instant messaging logs. Both men seem to exhibit a weird sense of voyeuristic, first-timer glee when talking about how they'll actually snatch and cook their victims.

Here are some chat snippets from Brown, the Florida puppeteer. He used the handle "uelime" and was discussing a young boy who he knew from church. The other person chatting, "calf_keeper" and "sweettalkerlinda," was some guy in Kansas arrested on child porn charges.

uelime: Sadly, he is doing well. I wish I had him tied and gagged in the closet.

calf_keeper2: he would make a fine Easter feast

uelime: yes, his thighs and butt cheeks would be fantastic for easter.

calf_keeper2: I agree. You could be spending today parting him out, getting a pan ready for the butt and thighs

uelime: I would have the time to do it today, if I only had him.

And a few months later, Brown was at it again:

sweettalkerlinda: evening sunshine

uelime: Hello

uelime: how are you?

sweettalkerlinda: I'm good. you?

uelime: Doing well.

sweettalkerlinda: any luck with your boy?

uelime: No, I still want to eat him though. He was looking good in his last pic that I got.

Then they started talking about actually killing the child:

uelime: Hmmm, I think he might be small enough to take down easily. You should come down and help. He could enjoy him too.

sweettalkerlinda: Love to of course. But I think a first on should be enjoyed alone. Especially with all you've done watching him

sweettalkerlinda: so you'll strangle or suffocate im?

uelime: He would be a toss up between the two. I think either would hot. Strangle would be hot, though harder, suffocate would go easier, I think.

sweettalkerlinda: I drowned my last one. though she was quite small. Feisty though, gave a good fight.

sweettalkerlinda: little redhead and she proved it ;)<

uelime: I have thought about drowning too. Just slide him into the tub and hold his face under.

sweettalkerlinda: I started mine face up then flipper her over.

uelime: Thats an idea. i could do that too.

sweettalkerlinda: she looked like a little pink frog kicking her legs under the water. ;)

CC-1 How big is your oven?

VALLE: Big enough to fit one of these girls if I fold their legs ... The abduction will have to be flawless ... I know all of them ...( Victim-1), I can just show up at her home unannounced. It will not alert her, and I can knock her out, wait until dark and kidnap her right out of her home.

CC-1: You really would be better to grab a stranger. The first thing the police force will do is check out a friend.

VALLE: Her family is out of state.

CC-1: I have anaesthetic gasses.

VALLE: I can make chloroform here.

CC-1: It's really hard to dislocate (lock) a jaw. Also, how would we put her over the fire, spitting kills the girls. Have to put her into a kind of cage. What is your favorite cut of meat?

VALLE: I was thinking of tying her body onto some kind of apparatus .. cook her over a low heat, keep her alive as long as possible.

VALLE: I love that she is asleep right now not having the slightest clue of what we have planned. Her days are numbered. I'm glad you're on board. She does look tasty doesn't she?"

CC-1: You do know if we don't waste any of her these is nearly 75 lbs of food there.

Sure, the chats seem beyond incriminating and straight out of a low-budget slasher flick. Immediately after their respective arrests, however, arguments came up that Brown and Valle were merely describing fantasies that they would never carry out in real life.

Is there really a fetish scene for people interested in eating other people? You betcha.

Vorarephilia, according to this guy, is a "sexual paraphilia in which people are sexually aroused by the idea of being eaten, eating another person, or observing this process for sexual gratification."

Subscribers to this particularly fetish are commonly known as "vores."

There are, obviously, plenty of vorarephilia websites out there. Among the easy-to-find ones are something called VoreTube, a staged-photo site called Muki's Kitchen, and Devoured Stories, the Penthouse Letters of vorarephilia. It goes without saying that none of these websites is safe for work.

Following Valle's arrest on Thursday, Hunter College psychologist Jeffrey Parson told the AP that "there's a big difference between discussing and even fantasizing about this type of activity and actually carrying it out...Not all the people who fantasize about it will go on to carry it out."

When Brown was arrested, he explained that his interest was not in child pornography, rather it was in morgue photos. He had a profile on a website called cutedeadguys.net and claimed that everything he had chatted about were just ghoulish fantasies, not real plans.

Specific Targets:

Perhaps most disturbing -- beyond the whole killing, cooking and eating thing -- is that both Valle and Brown had contact with the people they were targeting.

Among the 100 women that Valle was planning on kidnapping, eating, selling, and doing whatever else with was his girlfriend. Valle allegedly used a police database and the popular dating site OkCupid to compile information on the women he wanted to devour. He had the "names, photos, dates of birth, heights, weights, and bra sizes of dozens of women."

Meanwhile, Brown was targeting a young boy who attended his church. But Brown wasn't just leering in the back pew, he apparently interacted with kids at the church frequently. According to court documents, Brown said he personally knew the boy.
