A 36-year-old Fort Lake Worth man in the hospital with a bullet wound to the head is facing first-degree murder charges after allegedly killing his wife early this morning.
Police say Paul Daniels got in an argument with his wife, 27-year-old Donna Daniels, shortly before 2:30 this morning. The Daniels’ daughter told police that the fight moved outside, then, “Dad pulled out a gun and shot Mom. Dad then turned around…

… and shot my brother. I thought he was going to shoot me, so I ran.”
Donna Daniels died face-down in the driver’s seat of a car at the house on Stevens Road with three gunshot wounds to her back; Palm Beach County spokeswoman Teri Barbera said the couple’s son had a bullet wound to his leg, but he may have only been grazed.
A neighbor told police he heard the couple’s children screaming in the yard and came outside, where he discovered Paul Daniels “lying on the grass breathing heavy with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head,” according to the arrest report. Police expect him to live.
