Pembroke Pines Intersection Listed Among World's Mass Murderers

With its hairpin turns and thousand-foot drops, Bolivia's "Road of Death" is mighty terrifying. But local thrill seekers don't have go south of the equator to get their fix. They can just take a drive out to Southwest Broward -- specifically, the intersection of Pines Boulevard and Flamingo Road.

Yes, that intersection made this list of the Most Dangerous Roads from an auto industry blog, along with roads in St. Petersburg, Russia; and Pakistan.

But the Pines/Flamingo inclusion is based on an analysis by State Farm Insurance from 1999, which declared it the most dangerous road in the nation. Maybe we've improved it since? You can see in the picture above that it still looks pretty chaotic, but then, so does every major intersection in West Broward.
