In 2010, blathering conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh said these words when discussing the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare):
"I'll just tell you this, if this passes and it's five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented -- I am leaving the country. I'll go to Costa Rica."
Well, now that 2015 has rolled around, it's officially been five years. And at least one group of people has not forgotten Rush's promise and is calling him via an online petition to come through and move to Costa Rica, as he said he would.

The whole brouhaha began in March 2010, when Rush was going off, as he is wont to do, on President Obama's ongoing scheme to turn America into Communist Africa, and foretelling the doom and desolation that would befall our nation should Obamacare be implemented.
Limbaugh called Obamacare "freedom killing" and "life-threatening." And then he took a call from a listener.
"If the health care bill passes, where would you go for health care yourself?" the caller asked.
To which Rush replied, "I don't know. I'll just tell you this, if this passes and it's five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented -- I am leaving the country. I'll go to Costa Rica."
You can listen to the exchange in the video below:
Of course, it didn't take long for Limbaugh to come out and take back what he had said. The day after the radio show, Limbaugh said he wasn't actually moving to Costa Rica.
"It's funny. I can't tell you how many invitations I am getting to go to Costa Rica today who thought that I said I would move to Costa Rica if we got health care passed," Limbaugh said. "No, no, no once all this implemented, I am going there for my health care. They're asking me to go ahead and move."
Well, the invitations for him to move to Costa Rica apparently haven't ended, even with his backtracking on his promise to do so if Obamacare passed.
A petition on the LeftAction website is calling people to urge Limbaugh to move as he promised by signing the online petition.
"You said you'd move to Costa Rica in 5 years if Obamacare passed," the petition reads. "It's been 5 years, so... adios!"
The petition goes on to say, "Oh, and to the good people of Costa Rica... um... sorry."
And, "P.S. - Don't tell Rush, but Costa Rica actually has universal health care."
And, yup.... that last part is true.
So far, the petition has amassed more than 150,000 signatures.
Some of the comments from signees include things like:
"Take your hate-mongering and get out! Good luck in Costa Rica; they won't put up with your infantile nonsense."
And:
"Bye you idiot. The sooner you leave the better this country will be. Maybe Coasta Rica will put a gag order on your fat mouth because cares about what you have to say."
And:
"It would be unfair to the good people of Costa Rica, so I suggest you move to North Korea."
