Published Thursday, October 5, 2006

Former First Lady Barbara Bush spoke at a private fundraising luncheon in Boca Raton Wednesday in support of the re-election of U.S. Rep. E. Clay Shaw. It was held at Boca Raton Country Club.

The luncheon was hosted by Yvonne Boice, a Boca businesswoman and philanthropist, who said: "We are honored and delighted that Mrs. Bush has chosen to visit Boca Raton in support of Congressman Shaw."

"Having met Mrs. Bush on several occasions, I've always been impressed by her insightful and inspiring speeches," said Boice. "Considering her unique role in history, being both a president's wife and a mother, this is truly a momentous event."
