Surveillance photos of Aaron Hernandez holding what appears to be the gun he allegedly used to murder Odin Lloyd have been released.
According to FOX CT, the photos, which show Hernandez walking into his home not long after the murder, are part of court records that were disclosed Thursday.
The weapon itself has not been found by investigators, although, according to search warrants, police did turn up a Hungarian rifle in Hernadez's home.
The photos released Thursday show the former Gator and Patriots star tight end holding what looks to be a Glock pistol -- the same gun prosecutors believe was used to slay Lloyd earlier that night.
Hernandez and two other men were with the victim in a rental car on the night of the murder. The men left a bar that night, and Hernandez went back home with the other two men but without Lloyd.
Cops searched Hernandez's home and found forensic evidence that placed a vehicle driven by Hernandez at the scene of the crime. Hernandez also reportedly destroyed a cell phone Massachusetts police had requested.
Prosecutors have said that in the days leading up to the arrest, authorities have hours of surveillance footage that shows Hernandez with a gun in his hand as well as footage of the car the men were in that captures gunshot sounds.
The prosecutors also say that the rental-car attendant found shell casings in the car and that the casings were matched with the victim's wound by ballistics.
There are also documents that show investigators found a fully loaded 7.62x39mm Hungarian rifle with Hernandez's prints on them in a black gym bag inside a Toyota parked in his garage.
It's unclear if the rifle is in any way connected to Lloyd's murder, but police seem to have been very interested in it during their search of the house.
Hernandez is also being investigated in connection with a 2012 double homicide in Boston.
