This was not the Crime of the Century: It was three young men in a stolen car who had plans to cruise the west suburbs of Broward County looking for stuff they could steal, then sell. So was it really necessary for police to chase the bad guys at speeds of over 90 mph on I-75?
You can check out the video after the jump and form your own opinion. The chase gets particularly scary after the Toyota Camry exits the freeway near Opa Locka and starts blowing through intersections in Hialeah, followed closely by a cop. Personally, that seems to me like the place for the police to err on the side of safety.
