Well, this is awkward. Gov. Rick Scott's state is playing host to the Republican National Convention in Tampa next month, and nobody can say whether they're going to let the guy speak at it.
When RNC Chair Reince Priebus was asked about Scott and Sen. Marco Rubio's roles in the convention, he responded, according to the Tampa Bay Times, "I can't tell the answer to your question... As far as Marco Rubio goes, I think he's a dynamic, smart, intelligent senator who represents a massive amount of horsepower in our party."
OK, OK, so we still don't technically know if Rubio will be the VP pick, and maybe they don't have the schedule worked out yet. How about Scott, Mr. Priebus? Uh, well, hmm...
"I mean, he's the hometown governor," he said. "I'm sure he's got, I'm sure he's got plenty, uh, you know, I'm sure there's a welcome, you know, there's a lot of protocol there too, so I don't want to get into the details because I don't know what the answer to that is yet."
Womp. These things happen, I guess, when only 29 percent of Floridians view a guy favorably.
