Salesman Can't Quite Outsmart the TV News

Your favorite, gun-toting, suspended Miramar commish, Fitzroy Salesman, woke early this morning to cast his vote without the television cameras. That plan didn't quite work.

Much to the chagrin of those reporters, Salesman did not whip out a gun and tell them to "back the fuck off."

Last week, a mistrial was declared in Salesman's felony weapons case. A new trial is scheduled for next month.

Salesman probably needed acquittal to stand a chance of knocking off Carl Lanke, who won Salesman's old commission seat in a razor-thin special election last March. Barbara Sharief, who lost by just 13 votes in that 2008 contest, is also in the race.
