The Broward Sheriff's Office released this sketch today of the suspect who they say beat and robbed an elderly woman during a home invasion last week.
Last Tuesday, shortly before 10 p.m., the suspect busted into the Pompano Beach home of 88-year-old Pearl Patrinos, punched her in the face, threatened to kill her, and then fled with $3 and some jewelry.
Earlier reports gave a vague description.
But detectives now say that they're looking for a black male with medium-brown complexion and a thin build, appearing to be in his late teens or early 20s. He wore a white tank top and baggy black shorts when he was last seen fleeing from Patrinos' home along the 800 block of NE 33rd Street.
The BSO asks that anyone with information about this case contact robbery detectives or submit tips anonymously to Broward County Crime Stoppers.
